About the project

This project involves refurbishing a three-story apartment block in Lismore’s CBD to deliver eight self-contained units, four for transitional youth housing and four for temporary accommodation under contract with DCJ. With no requirement for a DA, ATI supported Social Futures to fast-track delivery through design-lite internal upgrades, site safety improvements, and fire compliance works. We also advised on the future adaptive potential of the ground floor, allowing flexibility for social enterprise use or staff accommodation. This project responds directly to escalating demand for supported housing in a region still recovering from disaster.

ATI’s role

ATI managed scope definition, consultant engagement, compliance, procurement, and contractor delivery. We advised on phasing, staged funding, and layout optimisation to maximise outcomes under a tight budget.

Client value

ATI’s delivery expertise helped Social Futures rapidly convert a vacant asset into safe, functional housing with immediate community impact and long-term flexibility.
