About the project
The Soorley Street project adapts a former 70-bed aged care facility into supported temporary accommodation, with embedded staffing, communal spaces, and consult rooms. The facility enables the transition away from motel-based emergency housing, especially for older people and vulnerable clients. ATI led the rapid planning reset, including use rights clarification, compliance upgrade, layout planning, and fitout coordination to meet support provider needs. The project delivers a significantly more cost-effective and dignified model of temporary accommodation than the status quo.
ATI’s role
ATI managed design coordination, DA amendments, contractor engagement, compliance assurance, and stakeholder alignment under a compressed delivery window.
Client value
ATI helped Social Futures go from concept to activation within months, securing a high-impact facility that delivers safety, stability, and operational efficiency.
